At Chance Supported Living, we specialise in parent-and-child placements, and accommodation for 18+ year olds who need structured guidance as they move toward independence.
We provide fully furnished one-bedroom flats that are designed to feel homely, safe, and nurturing. This setting allows young parents and their children to build routines, strengthen family life, and take steps toward independence, while 16–18 year olds benefit from the structure and support needed to prepare for adulthood.
With a trauma-informed approach, our dedicated team offers flexible one-to-one support tailored to each individual’s or family’s needs. This independent living model enables parents to demonstrate their ability to provide consistent care, while still receiving the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed.
Our goal is to empower young people and families to develop the skills, confidence, and resilience they need for independent living, while ensuring children are always safe, nurtured, and loved. By combining practical support with compassionate care, we create an environment where every young person can thrive.

Our Services

1
Staff Monitoring & Guidance
In supported living, staff provide ongoing monitoring and guidance to ensure that both young parents with their children and 18+ year olds are safe, supported, and progressing toward independence. This includes regular check-ins, encouragement, and tailored advice to meet each person’s unique needs. For parents, this may involve support with household management, childcare, and parenting skills. For 18+ year olds, it can include help with life skills, decision-making, and preparing for adult responsibilities. The goal is to provide reassurance, constructive feedback, and consistent support — while still respecting independence and promoting personal growth.
2
Accompaniment to Appointments & Court Sessions
Many young parents and 18+ year olds face important appointments — such as healthcare visits, social services meetings, education or training appointments, or court sessions — which can feel daunting. Staff are available to accompany them, offering practical assistance, advocacy, and emotional support. By attending alongside, staff help ensure that individuals understand important information, meet their responsibilities, and feel confident engaging with professionals and services. This not only reduces stress but also empowers young people to handle these situations more independently in the future.
3
Support with Daily Routines & Activities
Supported living focuses on helping residents establish healthy daily routines and engage in activities that promote growth and stability. For parents, this includes guidance with meal preparation, bedtime routines, household management, and child-centred activities such as play, reading, and outings that strengthen parent–child bonds. For 18+ year olds, staff provide support in building routines around education, training, employment, self-care, and household tasks — skills that are essential for a successful transition into adulthood. These routines and activities encourage responsibility, confidence, and independence, while ensuring children and young people alike can thrive.
